There are endless things to do in Vancouver. The city is known for first-class restaurants, with every type of ethnic dish you can imagine. The city has a bustling entertainment and nightlife scene, and a second to none arts and culture scene. For sports lovers, Vancouver is home to the NHL Vancouver Canucks, the CFL BC Lions, and the Vancouver Whitecaps.
Vancouverites love their city because they can enjoy relaxing or playing beach volleyball at the one of the many beaches one day, and be in the mountains the next. Avid skiers and snowboarders are just minutes from Vancouver’s three ski mountains - Cypress, Grouse, and Seymour – not to mention just a couple of hours away from world-renowned Whistler Blackcomb – the Official Alpine Skiing Venue for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
Vancouver has a variety of shopping districts with everything from designer labels, retro boutiques, and specialty shops, not to mention the most famous street of shopping downtown – Robson Street. And…be sure not to miss the Granville Island Public Market!
The kids are sure to have a memorable time at Science World or at the Vancouver Aquarium.
If that’s still not enough, try your luck at the casino, check out the latest exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery, cruise the harbour on a boat tour, or explore the history of Gastown.
A visit to Vancouver must include time spent in Stanley Park - recognized around the globe as one of the great parks of the world covering 1000 acres right by downtown. There are always special events happening in the Park too!
